Dr. Jack Shevel
Chairman
Jack Shevel has more than 20 years of strategic operations and investment experience in Southern Africa and Europe. Prior to founding Netcare (one of the largest healthcare enterprises outside of the United States), Dr. Shevel practiced as a medical practitioner for nine years before becoming involved in hospital management in 1989. He has since restored several hospitals in distress back to profitability and is internationally recognized for leadership and innovative entrepreneurial expertise. Through Netcare, Dr. Shevel led the South African hospital Industry shift of consolidation and rationalization prompting competitors to follow with a resurgence of the healthcare industry.
Daniel P. Carriere
As a senior executive in Ontario healthcare for more than 30 years, Daniel Carriere has focused on team work, customer focus, leadership and analytical decision making to lead transformational development and change including the construction of new facilities. Prior to joining Centric Health, Mr. Carriere was CEO of Southlake Regional Health Centre for 17 years as it emerged into one of Canada's leading healthcare campuses with a comprehensive range of healthcare services. His career also includes executive appointments at York-Finch General Hospital (now Humber River Regional Hospital), Beechgrove Regional Children's Centre in Kingston and Sensenbrener hospital in Kapuskasing.
In addition, Mr. Carriere has been a lead reviewer and panel representative on various committees and hospitals evaluating healthcare centres and systems in Canada. He holds a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology from the University of Western Ontario.
Ingrid Davis
Mrs. Davis is Chief Operating Officer of Global Healthcare Investments & Solutions (GHIS), with more than 20 years of executive leadership experience and expertise in global procurement and purchasing, physician partnerships, medical facilities and commercialization of revenue streams to health care services at Netcare. Mrs. Davis is a Qualified Pharmacist and was a key board member, committee representative and executive of the Netcare Group in South Africa and the United Kingdom. She has received numerous acknowledgements and nominations as one of South Africa's Most Influential Women, Business Woman of the year and is respected for her innovation, operational capability and for being an effective strategist.
Dr. Paul Gamble
Dr. Gamble is currently President and CEO of the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences, Canada's only publicly funded academic institution solely dedicated to applied healthcare education. Prior to his appointment at the Michener Institute, Dr. Gamble was Associate Professor and Director of the School of Health Management at Ryerson University, Toronto, and before this he was the President of the Hospital Council of Metropolitan Toronto. Dr. Gamble earned a Doctor of Public Health in health policy from the University of Michigan and holds a Master of Health Science degree from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from McMaster University. He is also a member of the Canadian College of Health Service Executives and a fellow of the Accrediting Commission on Education for Health Services Administration.
Craig Gattinger
Mr. Gattinger has been building, acquiring, and growing the rehabilitation business with business partner Ron Lowe for almost 30 years. Mr. Gattinger was actively involved as a physiotherapist with the Canadian National and Olympic Men's Hockey team from 1980-1985, and was the physiotherapist for the Calgary Flames when the team won the Stanley Cup in 1989. Mr. Gattinger and Mr. Lowe purchased LifeMark Health in 2004, and grew the business from 43 clinics to over 120 clinics prior to the acquisition of LifeMark by Centric Health in 2011. Mr. Gattinger's role with Centric Health is primarily overseeing the operations of the LifeMark Clinical, Assessment and Eldercare areas. Mr. Gattinger holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Kinesiology and Physical Therapy from the University of Saskatchewan.
Tom Magyarody
Mr. Magyarody is currently an executive director and CEO for the Ontario Dental Association. He has been a board member of profit and not-for-profit boards over the last 11 years, including Accertaclaim ServiCorp Inc., University of Toronto Schools, Health Link Clinical Data Network, and Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences. He has also had experience in the financial services and aerospace industry.
Robert Wardell
Mr. Wardell was most recently the Vice-President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Victory Nickel Inc., a publicly traded mining company on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Mr. Wardell also serves on the board of several Canadian publicly listed companies including Phoenix Coal Inc., Katanga Mining Limited and Allied Nevada Gold Corporation. From 1986 to 2006, he was a senior audit partner with Deloitte & Touche LLP. Mr. Wardell is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and a former member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants Emerging Issues Committee.
Darren Youngleson
Mr. Youngleson is Chief Financial Officer of Global Healthcare Investments & Solutions (GHIS), with more than 15 years of healthcare strategy, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate development and investor relations experience. Prior to joining GHIS in 2006, Mr. Youngleson was part of the management team building and growing Netcare, today one of the largest healthcare enterprises in the world. Prior to Netcare Mr. Youngleson was a senior manager at the auditing and accounting firm of PKF Worldwide.
