Dr. Jack Shevel
Jack Shevel has more than 20 years of strategic operations and investment experience in Southern Africa and Europe. Prior to founding Netcare (one of the largest healthcare enterprises outside of the United States), Dr. Shevel practiced as a medical practitioner for nine years before becoming involved in hospital management in 1989. He has since restored several hospitals in distress back to profitability and is internationally recognized for leadership and innovative entrepreneurial expertise. Through Netcare, Dr. Shevel led the South African hospital Industry shift of consolidation and rationalization prompting competitors to follow with a resurgence of the healthcare industry.
President and CEO
David Cutler joined Centric Health in September, 2012 as President and CEO. Prior to joining Centric Health, Mr. Cutler was the President and CEO of Leisureworld Senior Care Corporation, a well established accredited provider of long-term care, retirement living and community based home care services in Ontario. Leisureworld is a publicly traded company on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Mr. Cutler has been involved in the Long Term Care sector since 1990 and oversaw Leisureworld’s rapid growth, which has quadrupled in size over the past 13 years. Mr. Cutler is a Director on Leisureworld Senior Care Corporation’s Board.
Chief Financial Officer
Leslie joined Centric Health in January 2015 as the Director, Financial Reporting. Leslie became involved in all aspects of the Finance team, and was subsequently promoted to Senior Director and Controller in February 2016. In June 2016 he accepted the position of Interim CFO, which was made permanent in December 2016. Previously, Leslie worked in equity research with RBC Capital Markets where he provided financial research, modelling and in-depth sector analyses on real estate investment trusts and operating companies. Leslie holds the Chartered Professional Accountant designation, and began his career at KPMG, where he took on progressively increasing responsibilities in advising public and private companies on a host of complex issues and transactions, as well as providing strategic thought leadership and engaging in business development activities. Leslie holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto.
Chief Human Resources Officer
Joining Centric Health in August 2017, Josephine brings to Centric Health over 15 years of experience in the healthcare sector, including hospital, seniors’ housing, and most recently the Ontario public sector focusing on the province-wide merger of Local Health Integration Networks with the Community Care Access Centres, in accordance with the Patients First Act. Josephine is a proven senior Human Resources leader with experience in post-IPO environments, change management and growth (acquisition/integration and sale of business). She has served as a trusted advisor to many Boards of Directors and has been successful at creating people strategies that execute the employee value proposition while engaging stakeholders at all levels. She was recognized for this in 2012 when she became the proud recipient of an HR Summit Award by the Human Resources Professional Association.
Vice-President and General Counsel
Paul joined Centric Health in September 2017 as Vice-President and General Counsel. Prior to joining Centric Health, Paul practiced law for eight years in the Securities and Mergers & Acquisitions groups at Stikeman Elliott LLP, one of Canada’s pre-eminent law firms, where he routinely advised numerous public and private companies on complex corporate and commercial matters. Paul holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business.
