Kevin Dalton has over 20 years of capital markets and investment banking experience including having held the position of Vice Chairman, Head of Investment Banking at Desjardins Securities, the brokerage arm of Desjardins Group, the biggest financial institution in Quebec and the largest cooperative financial group in Canada. Prior to joining Desjardins, Mr. Dalton worked at Blackmont Capital, a full-service investment dealer, first serving as Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking and then moving onto the role of President. Mr. Dalton spent 14 years in the investment banking division of CIBC Capital Markets, where he specialized in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors, and served as Managing Director, Head of Canadian Diversified Investment Banking. He began his career at The Hathaway Corporation, a Toronto-based consulting firm that provides clients with expert financial advice on a variety of disciplines, including valuations, fairness opinions and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Dalton holds a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.
Dr. Jack Shevel
Jack Shevel has more than 20 years of strategic operations and investment experience in Southern Africa and Europe. Prior to founding Netcare (one of the largest healthcare enterprises outside of the United States), Dr. Shevel practiced as a medical practitioner for nine years before becoming involved in hospital management in 1989. He has since restored several hospitals in distress back to profitability and is internationally recognized for leadership and innovative entrepreneurial expertise. Through Netcare, Dr. Shevel led the South African hospital Industry shift of consolidation and rationalization prompting competitors to follow with a resurgence of the healthcare industry.
President and CEO
David brings over 12 years of healthcare experience to Centric Health. He joined the Company in May 2018 from Cardinal Health, where he served as President of its $1.2 billion Canadian business since 2016. During this time, he led a strategic transformation of the Canadian organization, which included integration of the Patient Recovery business purchased from Medtronic. Previously, David was President of the Canadian division of Stryker from 2008 to 2016. Under his leadership, the organization strengthened its market leadership position, improved operating margins and earned consistent recognition as a top Canadian employer and workplace. David holds MBA and LL.B. degrees from the University of Toronto.
Interim Chief Financial Officer
Andrew joined Centric Health in January 2017 as the Director of Finance and Controller for the company, subsequently being promoted to Senior Director, Finance. During this time, he led a significant part of the finance function including accounting, treasury, and business planning and analysis. Andrew plays a leadership role in a number of ongoing strategic initiatives, including the business re-engineering plan and the potential divestiture of non-core assets and deleveraging of the balance sheet. Prior to joining Centric Health, Andrew worked at Ernst & Young LLP, practicing in both the M&A and Taxation groups. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant/Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
Chief Human Resources Officer
Nina joined Centric Health in October, 2018 as Chief Human Resources Officer. Nina has broad and extensive HR leadership experience across multiple industries. Most recently, she was Vice President, Human Resources at Sienna Senior Living. She also had previous experience at Rexall, and is well-acquainted with both the seniors care and pharmacy sectors. Throughout her career, Ms. Freier has been a results-oriented leader with a demonstrated track record of creating HR competencies, enabling change management and employee engagement, and partnering with the business to deliver on strategic objectives.
Vice-President and General Counsel
Paul joined Centric Health in September 2017 as Vice-President and General Counsel. Prior to joining Centric Health, Paul practiced law for eight years in the Securities and Mergers & Acquisitions groups at Stikeman Elliott LLP, one of Canada’s pre-eminent law firms, where he routinely advised numerous public and private companies on complex corporate and commercial matters. Paul holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business.
Vice-President, Business Development, Specialty Pharmacy Division
Mitchell joined Centric Health in November, 2018 as Vice President of Business Development for the Specialty Pharmacy Division. Mr. Sinclair is a seasoned healthcare leader, having spent more than 25 years in sales and sales leadership roles in various segments of the industry. Previously, he was at Cardinal Health for seven years, serving as Vice President of Sales for a business that has a significant presence in long-term care and retirement homes. Mr. Sinclair's experience and established relationships within seniors care make him a strong addition to the Centric Health team as the Company seeks to continue its recent progress in winning new national and regional contracts and strengthening its brand and value proposition with customers.
Vice-President and General Manager, Western Canada, Specialty Pharmacy Division
Ryan joined Centric Health in March, 2015 through Centric’s acquisition of Pharmacare Pharmacy in Alberta. Ryan was one of the owners of Pharmacare, leading their clinical and business development teams as the VP, Clinical and Pharmacy Strategy. After the acquisition, Ryan held a variety of positions at Centric including Director of Business Development in Western Canada and National Director of Business Development. In October 2018, he began his current role as the Vice-President and General Manager, Western Canada, Specialty Pharmacy Division. Ryan has extensive experience and relationships in the pharmacy and seniors care sectors, in the regulatory environment and in clinical pharmacy research. Ryan was a recipient of the APEX Future of Pharmacy award and the WL Boddy Pharmacy Team award while holding a Pharmacy degree and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alberta.
