Daniel P. Carriere
President and Chief Executive Officer
As a senior executive in Ontario healthcare for more than 30 years, Daniel Carriere has focused on team work, customer focus, leadership and analytical decision making to lead transformational development and change including the construction of new facilities. Prior to joining Centric Health, Mr. Carriere was CEO of Southlake Regional Health Centre for 17 years as it emerged into one of Canada's leading healthcare campuses with a comprehensive range of healthcare services. His career also includes executive appointments at York-Finch General Hospital (now Humber River Regional Hospital), Beechgrove Regional Children's Centre in Kingston and Sensenbrener hospital in Kapuskasing.
In addition, Mr. Carriere has been a lead reviewer and panel representative on various committees and hospitals evaluating healthcare centres and systems in Canada. He holds a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology from the University of Western Ontario.
Peter Walkey
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Walkey joined Centric Health with more than 15 years of senior financial management and merger and acquisition experience. He was previously Chief Financial Officer of TSX-listed Priszm Income Fund, prior to which he was Chief Financial Officer of Yum! Restaurants International (Canada). Throughout his career, Mr. Walkey has held various executive financial management positions. Mr. Walkey is a Certified General Accountant, attended the Queen's University Leadership Development program and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto.
Craig Gattinger
Chief Executive Officer, LifeMark Health
Mr. Gattinger has been building, acquiring, and growing the rehabilitation business with business partner Ron Lowe for almost 30 years. Mr. Gattinger was actively involved as a physiotherapist with the Canadian National and Olympic Men's Hockey team from 1980-1985, and was the physiotherapist for the Calgary Flames when the team won the Stanley Cup in 1989. Mr. Gattinger and Mr. Lowe purchased LifeMark Health in 2004, and grew the business from 43 clinics to over 120 clinics prior to the acquisition of LifeMark by Centric Health in 2011. Mr. Gattinger's role with Centric Health is primarily overseeing the operations of the LifeMark Clinical, Assessment and Eldercare areas. Mr. Gattinger holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Kinesiology and Physical Therapy from the University of Saskatchewan.
Ron Lowe
President, LifeMark Health
Mr. Lowe has been actively involved in rehabilitation for over 30 years. In 1984, Mr. Lowe partnered with Craig Gattinger to start Calgary Sport Physiotherapy, growing their company to 10 clinics before joining with LifeMark in 2000. During this time, Mr. Lowe was actively involved in both delivering physiotherapy treatment and management of LifeMark, as well as working with the Canadian Rugby Team, the Junior National Track Team, and the Canadian Team at several Commonwealth and Olympic Games. His role with Centric Health is primarily to oversee the operations of the LifeMark Clinical, Assessment and Eldercare areas. Mr. Lowe holds a Bachelor degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Saskatchewan.
Tina Bishai
President, Active Health Eldercare Division
Ms. Bishai joined Active Health in 1999 as a Registered Physiotherapist with Bachelor of Science degrees in human biology and physiotherapy from the University of Toronto, and received an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2002. She was appointed Vice President, Operations for Active Health Management in 2002 and promoted to President, Active Health Eldercare Division in 2010.
Her clinical and consulting experience along with her focus on systems, data capture and analysis in pursuing continuous quality improvement in patient care have demonstrated the benefits of rehabilitation, prevention and wellness to reduce emergency room visits and hospital admissions.
Jan Nighswander
Vice President, Human Resources and Organizational Development
Jan Nighswander has extensive human resources and organizational development experience in both leadership and consulting roles. During 20 years in Alberta's energy industry, Jan worked in all areas of Human Resources management and ultimately led the human resources team at Alberta Natural Gas during significant energy industry deregulation and restructuring. From 1993 to 2004, Jan led the transition management practice for Cenera, a member of Career Partners International, assisting clients in the energy, regulatory, retail and health care sectors to develop and execute strategic business plans. Since 2005, Jan has developed and led the Human Resources function for LifeMark Health through a period of rapid national growth. Following the acquisition of LifeMark Health, Jan joined Centric Health to lead the Human Resources and Organizational Development team.
